They could even keep the wrap in the Season 2 Battle Pass and keep it exclusive, I don't care.Īnd why does it literally override the wrap of other players when they pick up a weapon Midas touches once. What if I want to use the gold wrap on other skins (the Gold Agent skins are gimmicky and a waste of time but you can't even run the full solid gold look with them like you can with Midas because of a pointless gimic)? Imagine a solid gold wrap with Gold Ultima Knight, or Lara Croft, Drift, or whatever other skin you want. What if I want to use another wrap with Midas? It actually is the Deep Frost wrap but it's dumb that they would rather out a weird gimmicky ability on a skin in a pack but not sell the wrap.īut my issue with Midas' comes down to a few things. The only argument I can even see is that this is just some ability that Midas and Shadow Midas had, but that's not an argument. I actually see zero upside to this being an ability locked to Midas that effectively gives him a forced built-in wrap. On top of this, there isn't even a Frozen Series wrap in the game yet, and this could be the first one. And you could even just equip it on Icebound Midas and still get the same effect as you get now, without the completely unnecessary restriction. If there was a Black Ice wrap, then you could, since you could just use that wrap on any skin in the pack or any of the other 1,000+ skins in the game, automatically increasing value of the pack. If you want to run any of the other skins in the pack with the full black ice style, you'll never be able to because you don't have a wrap that matches that style unless you choose Midas. And the Icebound Midas skin has an ability that turns any weapon he holds into that same style.Īside from being a callback to an ability Midas and his skins have, this decision is objectively bad. The new Black Ice Legends pack contains 3 frozen series skins with a blue and black color pallete.
